| Hey Guys I have had this rear clunking noise in my 300zx I redid the whole rear suspension with the Energy Suspension Stuff The car has a one piece drive shaft, spl coils, adjustable upper arms I ended up changing the diff last night with another used one, mileage unsure but the noise is still there..
I am really lost as this is quite frustrating..
My next thought is the drive shaft, but it looks fine..
What alternatives are there for the Diff bushings, is there an OEM replacement (if so whats the part numbers)
Do halfsahfts go bad? how can i check them.. Car has new engine and transmission mounts aswell.
However when i was putting the driveline back together, i connected the diff without the halfshafts and tried it, the noise was gone.. only when i put the load from the halfshafts the noise came back
I can reproduce the noise at will, when i let go of the clutch fast, or shift gears fast.. also while in reverse once the car is moving noise is gone and car drives fine.. PLEASE HELP Any idea is better than nothing.. Ps. i have searched and found alot of people having similar problems but no one had any solution Thanks alot in advance
